User profiles allow you to save application-wide configurations for later recall. You may save various profiles for different performance styles and load them on the same computer or on a different computer running vidjam.

As an example, set up your performance at home or in the studio, save your settings and media folder to a usb drive and then load them on the main visual computer running another instance of vidjam at your nightclub residence.

Blackout times affect the time to fade in & out when using the Black Out button in the nav bar.

Randomize Settings affect the random value range applied to Duration and Transition times when their randomize buttons are engaged. For instance, if you have set the Duration to 10 seconds, with these values of 50% and 150%, the random time that will be applied to the duration for each video in the playlist would range from 5 to 15 seconds.

If you have a compatible graphics card, enabling hardware acceleration can lower the load on your CPU for other applications like DJ software, digital mixing or other performance tools. It’s recommended always to use hardware acceleration.

Enabling verbose logging before sending a bug report will capture and send a more detailed log file. This can be helpful for our team to squash illusive bugs. Do not enable this unless one of our team members suggests it as it can generate unnecessarily large log files.

The Application update speed is the frame rate at which all functions of vidjam will be updated. 60fps is the default. On older machines lowering this value may help improve display performance.
