What is the Vidjam public beta?
The beta version of Vidjam includes features that are still in the early stages. Most issues have been worked out but some may still be present. We allow anyone to install the public beta alongside the stable version of Vidjam to help us fine-tune the new features.
Can the beta install alongside the stable build of Vidjam?
Yes, when you install the beta version it will have its own installation folder and does not overwrite the stable version. This way you can experiment with the latest features without worrying about losing your work. You can share the settings and database across both versions so that when you make changes in one they are reflected in the other.
How do I know if I have the latest beta version of Vidjam installed?
We update Vidjam beta often. Vidjam will check our server for updates after launch. If one is available you will be given the option to download and install the latest version. The stable version and beta version run independently and both have this automatic update feature.
